These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Finance Ledger mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Finance Ledger provides personal and family finance tracking tools including expense logging, budgets, analytics, and optional PRO features. The Service is provided "as is" and may change over time as we improve the product.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
3. Subscriptions (PRO)
- PRO features require a paid subscription through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- Billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are handled by the store where you purchased.
- We do not process payments on this website.
- Free-tier limits (e.g. account and transaction limits) apply until you upgrade.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to access other users' data without authorization
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the Service (including SQL injection or XSS attempts)
- Upload malicious content through support forms or any other channel
5. Your data
You retain ownership of the financial data you enter. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to operate the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Family workspaces
If you invite others to a family workspace, you control who joins via invite codes. Shared data is visible to workspace members according to app permissions.
7. Disclaimer
Finance Ledger is not a bank, financial advisor, or tax professional. Balances and insights are based on data you enter. We do not guarantee accuracy of OCR or third-party integrations. Use the Service at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you use the free tier).
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable local laws where the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
